“Whereas the political conflicts create a separating hollow, culture creates a space for understanding and dialogue.” – Mike Hardy

Cultural diplomacy is defined as “the exchange of ideas, information, art, language and other aspects of culture between nations and their nations with the aim of promoting mutual understanding”.
Its purpose is to promote and share the culture of one country with another via showcasing the best in its fine arts, entertainment, poetry, music, film, theatre, books, dance and craft. The goal of cultural diplomacy is to build awareness among the people of a foreign nation about the country to build broad support for economic and political goals. In essence, “cultural diplomacy reveals the soul of a nation,” which in turn creates influence. Galeri Prima and Henry Butcher Art Auctioneers (HBAA) believe cultural heritage and identity can be experienced and interpreted through the arts.
