Galeri Prima is pleased to present a diversity of artworks with showcasing something according to the emotions and deeper exploration to inspired people with ILHAM.
ILHAM //19 is an exhibition of artworks and design products by the academicians of Faculty of Art and Design (FSSR), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). This is also the first collaboration of Galeri Prima with the Faculty of Art and Design lecturers from the entire Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) branch.
‘ILHAM’ has been the theme of the academic exhibition of the Faculty of Art & Design (FSSR) since 1987. This year, the involvement of FSSR academic staff was again manifested and translated into ILHAM //19 with an emphasis on the specialization of their respective fields of work, some are also shaped by the paradigm of social, natural science and technological studies that leans on metaphysical research through public interest projects and conditional framework of research grants.
A total of 140 artworks exhibited are from all respective discipline such as; fine art, graphic design, industrial design, fine metal, textile, fashion, printing technology and ceramics.
As a prove that they are able to stand in line with science and technology, we have Muhammad Fahmi Ahmad who has successfully produced UiTM AVII, autonomous or driverless electric vehicle. Producing new nozzle designs to better reinforce PETRONAS’s corporate image who headed by Dr. Mohammad Azroll Ahmad are also one of the most interesting artwork that will be display at ILHAM 2019.
To get noticeable by hanging on to others as what teritip does best. Dr Rose Dahlia creating textures on plain surface using surface embellishment techniques resemble the inspiration chosen. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rozita Shamsuddin’s self-expression design jewellery utilizes hand-woven techniques. Materials such as copper, silver and pearls are carefully crafted to produce unique and distinctive personal jewelry products.
Dr. Ayn Sayuti is also seen as to have high commercial value. The ‘Biophilic Plate: Living Art’ is an interior and contemporary decoration of living plants as the main element .
The exhibition was officiated by Ar. Hijjas Kasturi, Director of Hijjas Kasturi Associates and also presents is the new Chief Operating Officer NSTP, Datuk Yushaimi Yahaya.
