SAVING MOTHER EARTH FOR THE FUTURE OF MANKIND
GRIME is dirt. It is the type of dirt that clings or is ingrained onto the surface, thus contributing to the state of impurity.
And urban grime has contributed to, among others, the contamination of the environment in this country.
With this in mind, KLIK – the NSTP digital repository of historical archives – joins Galeri Prima Sustainable & Environments Arts Assemble (SEAA) campaign to bring to you an exhibition titled GRIME to highlight the grave issue of environmental pollution.
SEAA is an initiative by Galeri Prima to promote a message on creative conservation, environmental and sustainability issues climate change, environment, pollution, nature and energy.
GRIME is aimed at creating awareness and educating people on what pollution can do to the environment, nature and lives.
On display will be 60 images sourced from KLIK, together with the news articles and its accompanying stories; which will bring forth the environmental problems – water pollution, air pollution and effects of climate change on the country.
The exhibition will show that pollution is rampant and that it needs the crucial attention and participation of all – the authorities, the corporate sector and the public to join forces to minimise the environmental impact and risks.
The exhibition is also to coincide with the World Environmental Day, which will be celebrated on 5 June 2021.
A series of fun, casual & creative activities with a concept on promoting Sustainable & Environmental – Recycle + Upcycle = reuse recycled materials and e-waste will be held to celebrate World Environmental and Malaysia Environmental Day, June – Dec 2021.
Due to the recent full Movement Control Order announced by the Government, the GRIME exhibition will be held on a virtual platform.
