Islam does not prohibit its believers from enjoying beauty as long as it not in conflict with its prohibitions. In fact, beauty is one of the characteristics of the greatness, perfection and oneness of Allah SWT.
As per the saying of Prophet Muhammad SAW, as quoted by Hadith Muslim: 147, “Indeed Allah is Beautiful and He loves beauty.”
And beauty, as we know it, is defined as a combination of qualities, such as shape, colour, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight.
In conjunction with the month of Ramadan, Galeri Prima is organising an Islamic arts exhibition called Allusion, which is defined as an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly or an indirect or passing reference.
